About the Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our medical practice. Your responsibilities will include:

• Rooming Patients: Collect essential information about patients’ medical histories and chief complaints.
• Telephone Interactions: Communicate with patients, families, and pharmacies to gather and maintain vital information.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, manage prior authorizations, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals.
• Office Procedures: Assist with various procedures under the direction of a provider, including medication administration and diagnostic testing.
• Patient Education: Provide written instructions and condition-specific education as directed by the provider.
• Medication Management: Assist with prescription refills and document actions within the EMR.
• Maintain Competencies: Stay updated on point-of-care testing and specialty training.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days, and one of the following:
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AAH
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - NAHP
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
  • And more!
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Relevant work experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Compensation
