Your Responsibilities

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:

• Room Patients: Collect essential information regarding patients' chief complaints, family history, social history, surgical history, and medication reconciliation upon their arrival.
• Telephone Interactions: Communicate effectively with patients, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities as directed.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, prior authorizations, appointment scheduling, benefits verification, and coordination of referrals and testing.
• Perform Procedures: Assist with procedures such as urine catheterizations, bladder scanning, and suture or staple removal under the direction of a provider.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with written instructions regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care as directed by the provider.
• Medication Management: Administer medications per provider orders and assist with prescription refills following department protocols.
• Maintain Competencies: Stay updated on department-specific competencies related to point-of-care testing and equipment handling.
• Adaptability: React effectively to frequent changes in duties and workload.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Licenses/Certifications: CMA, RMA, NRCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certifications, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and a commitment to respectful treatment of all colleagues.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to support various ambulatory clinics as assigned.

Working Conditions

This position may require:

• Weekend and holiday shifts as necessary.
• Support for temporary departments as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
