About the Role:

The Catering & Event Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to meet and exceed sales goals and planning, managing, and executing all events sold. This is role demands a dynamic individual with exceptional sales abilities, event planning expertise, strong industry knowledge, and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality experiences at every time.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Planning Expertise : Proven sales record with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets. A creative planner who anticipates needs and is passionate about creating lasting client & vendor relationships. Strong negotiating skills with excellent documentation from intake to reconciliation.
  • Market Knowledge : Strong business acumen, familiarity with the luxury catering & event market in Southern California, current market trends, competitor offerings, and key industry players.
  • Service Excellence : Proactive planner with the ability to adapt, passion for creating lasting memories, and strong communication skills with the client and event management team from the intake and planning to ensuring flawless execution the day of the event.
  • Teamwork & Relationship Development : Mentors and leads their team, fostering
  • collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal skills with all internal departments and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years leading high-performing teams with a genuine passion for creating excellent experiences in high-volume, fast-paced catering environments.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills under stress, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams enthusiastically. Responsible and dependable.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, quick & sharp decision-maker with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in CRM, MS Office, and Google applications. Accurate & consistent documentation skills. Strong multi-tasker, able to meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Local travel, flexible hours, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record are required.
