Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is looking for a Retail Pharmacist to cover open shifts from June 23, 2025 to September 18, 2025. Hour are 9 am to 6pm, or 10 am to 7 pm: no weekends or holiday coverage required. We have 2 Retail Pharmacy locations : Salida and Westcliffe, CO. On site training will start the week of June 16, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver complete and accurate pharmaceutical care to outpatient pharmacy patients, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Adhere to all Colorado State Board of Pharmacy regulations and federal laws governing pharmacy practice.
• Oversee and participate in the safe and efficient preparation, storage, and dispensing of prescription medications.
• Provide clinical pharmaceutical services, including patient counseling, medication therapy management (MTM), and disease-state management.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to make evidence-based recommendations regarding drug selection, dosing, and monitoring.
• Review and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic efficacy.
• Engage in drug utilization review (DUR) and provide drug information and education to medical staff, nurses, and patients.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Must have a current Colorado Pharmacist License (RPh)
• One year experience in the outpatient/retail pharmacy setting.
